Pain and pleasure

   It's hard to exlpain to someone the terrible loss of a loved one. My dear Grandpa was gathered into the arms of Jesus, April 8th, 2013. He lost the battle with brain cancer.
   He was the best of Grandpas. Always loving, always caring. Everyone describes him as quiet. That was certainly him. He only spoke when there was something important to say. I miss him so much.... I miss his quiet self sitting in the corner, holding one of his grandbabys. Every once in a while he would chuckle at something we'd said. I can't wait for the day in heaven when I will see him again.

   On a happier note, my Mama is expecting her 6th child any day now and I simply can't wait to hold that precious little bundle in my arms.
Gods peace and Blessing be upon you,

Navy Hymn and Marine Corps Hymn

The Navy Hymn
Eternal father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave'
Who bidd'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
for those in peril on the sea!

O Christ! Whose voice the waters heard
And shushed their raging at Thy word,
Who walked'st on the foaming deep,
And calm amidst its rage didst sleep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea!

Most Holy Spirit! Who didst brood
Upon the chaos dark and rude,
And bid its angry tumult cease,
And give, for wild confusion, peace;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee
For those in peril on the sea!

O Trinity of love and power!
Our brethren shield in danger's hour;
From rock and tempest, fire and foe,
Protect them wheresoe'er they go;
Thus evermoreshall rise to Thee
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea.

The Marine Corps Hymn
From the halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country's battles
In air, on land, and Sea.

First to fight for right and freedom,
And keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.

Our flags unfurl'd to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun.

In the snow of far-off northern lands
and in sunny tropic scenes,
You will find us always on the job-
The United States Marines.

Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've foight for life
And never lost our nerve.

If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines

The beginning

Welcome to my blog!
   I'm real excited about this. I love to write, and what better place to write then a blog? I decided to call it, "My Scribbling" because that's what most of my writing is, me scribbling down thoughts.
   Hopefully I can get a post on here soon!
Corum Deo,
